Lumley Designs manufacture in the Black country a family-run British firm specializing in personalized and customized made items in cast iron. All of our products are designed and made by Robin Lumley, an industrial artist based in Wolverhampton, Robin began his career specializing in architectural pattern making and woodcarving with 30 years experience of creating bespoke, innovative and one-of-kind designs.

We are very proud that all our products are designed by Robin Lumley at Lumley designs manufactured in England and we always endeavor to provide an excellent service to every client large or small, working closely with our customers to ensure that we produce exactly what they are looking for. We have forged close relationships with local foundries, allowing us to design the prototypes for any project, make the pattern, and submit them to the local foundry who produce the end products for us.

Equally happy working with clients and organisations both large and small, our product range includes items as diverse as cast iron house signs, door furniture, projecting sign brackets, signs for businesses, blue plaques and commemorative plaques plus a lot more.

We currently have a large range of individual cast-iron letterboxes and other cast iron items available that are all unique to us, and we can of course design and cast virtually any product to meet your specific requirements. Our range is growing and developing all the time, and we will ultimately use this blog to share some of our ideas and latest products with you.

Some of the larger organisations that have entrusted their projects to us include Wolverhampton, Walsall, Stafford councils, Hampton Court Palace, Westminster Cathedral, and English Heritage. We pride ourselves on using traditional foundry techniques and time-honored production methods, to ensure the authenticity, quality and longevity of all of our products.
