Blue plaque commemorates the 21 killed and the 182 injured in the Birmingham pub bombings a devastating disaster that happened 40 years today at 20 .17 hrs and 20 . 27 hrs 21st of November 1974. A minutes silence to coincide with the exact moment when the bombs went off in the Birmingham city centre pubs will take place later today at the City Cathedral. Lumley Designs were commissioned by Free radio to make the cast iron memorial. The plaque was made, hand painted and cast here in the Black Country by Robin Lumley at Lumley Designs.
