98th Blue plaque.

98th Blue plaque.

Lumley Designs made the 98th Blue plaque for the Wolverhampton Civic Society. The Blue Plaque is mounted on the wall of the Trumpet public house High street Bilston.
Robin was delighted to make this particular Blue plaque in memory of the legendary Black country musician Tommy Burton who past a way 2000 becomes only the second person to be given this honour prior to the regulation 20 year wait. Remembered as one of the greats of the jazz scene and accomplished musician covering everything from rock to jazz Tommy was a popular entertainer both here in his beloved Black Country and through out the UK. I recall Tommy Burtons piano skills and risque humour along with so many others.
